Graphic Design
I have a hard time calling myself a graphic designer. Compared to my experience with photography and video, graphic design is an area that is still catching up, but I’m enjoying every mistake and every achievement along the way.
Much of my work for UCI School of Biological Sciences (UCI BioSci) involves graphic design and they’ve provided me a place to continue to improve my techniques. Below are examples of my graphic design work for UCI BioSci, which had to adhere to UCI’s overall branding and UCI BioSci’s internal branding and style.

Created these mock ads for companies I admire, specifically outdoor brands. The photos are all taken by me and then I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to put everything together.

UCI BioSci Commencement
I welcome the challenge and excitement of creating graphics for commencement every year. These graphics have to capture such an important milestone in a person’s life and will most likely be the graphics and materials they save for the rest of their lives to share with their family and friends. Below are parts of a commencement booklet given to UCI BioSci graduates created in collaboration with an outside graphic designer and social media graphics created by me. All created using InDesign.

STEM Day
I created these graphics for UCI BioSci’s social media in celebration of STEM Day. Our goal was to feature quotes from prominent UCI BioSci faculty members and other individuals about the impact biology and the life sciences has in the world. These graphics were created using InDesign. Some of the photos featured were taken by me as well.
